In this pamphlet a variety of genealogical data was published on families of Dedham and the villages emanating from the early residents of Dedham, such as Dorchester, Franklin, Medfield, Medway, Needham, and Sharon, etc.

An actual marriage record has not been located. Barnabas left a will dated February 2, DeKalb Co., TN. It is supposed that Leonard Metcalf himself, perhaps as a condition of his pardon, gave up his Catholicism, and after the loss of his property, eventually took up holy orders under the state church, and, twenty years after, was the first Leonard Metcalf, Rector .Deacon Robert Hinsdall and three of his sons, Samuel, Barnabas, and John, were of Deerfield, Hampshire County, Massachusetts Bay Colony (Deerfield is now in Franklin County).
